soooo . . how are the chocolates?? :giggles:

and you are welcome hun! tossed that choker in and thought, hmmmm . . . maybe this will inspire fun new stock! who knew you were planning in that direction already?! brilliant minds, eh? :D can't wait to see what you post now!

and sorry it was later than I had planned . . . so much financial stupidity. :/ but better late than never at all, right?

I know! Twas awesome... I got those little cards to go pick up a package and went.. huh? lol

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm chocolate... I was quite impressed that they weren't all melted frankly! Go postal system go!

And yeah.. it's actually perfect.. now I just need to see about attempted an egyptian beaded headdress thingy. I've never done anything like that, so I may have to make several attempts before it works lol

And no worries my dear! I just like getting fun stuff in the mail.. no matter when I get it! lol

 I do that too! especially when I forget that someone is sending me something random and its not a holiday or my bday. ;)

I actually froze them completely solid first . . . I don't trust them at all! and telling them that there are edibles in the package doesn't help . . never makes any difference. >_< no matter what they say! so long as the chocolates got to you in the condition in which I intended them (ie, looking like I made them!) then my ploy worked.

ah! I have one of those! silly thing needs fixed again though . . they come apart so damned easily. *sighs* no matter what is used to string them, they still manage to snag at least one string and the lot comes loose. but they look so cool on!!!!

:blowkiss: :D

Exactly- it's like oh yay I'm loved lol

Ahhh.. I see! That does make sense to do it that way, and if it worked against the crazy Texas weather, than you did good lol.

And yeah, that's what I'm afraid of- that I might snap the strings while I'm trying to make it.. I'll have to try a couple types first I think...

mais oui ma chere!

I tried to remember what its like in your neck of the woods right now . . but it's been too damned long! lol. here we've been ricocheting between -15* and *60 . . so rather confusing. >_<

I always snap them when wearing it! :P every damned time I take it out for a shoot or whatever . . there goes another string. *sighs* am getting really good at repairing mine though, lots of practice!

Que? lol Hablo un poquito espanol, pero no frances!

And it's just been weird frankly- we've had freezing days followed by days like today in the 80s! It makes it really hard to figure out what to wear...

That sucks! I've never actually worn one so I never would have guessed it would be so fragile.. that's worrisome considering how clumsy I am...

 you are so silly! it means, but of course my dear friend! ;)

oh I know! my poor yard and pets are very confused . . even the squirrels are baffled! (& not that I am insensitive mind you, but baffled squirrels are really funny to watch!)

yeah, they tend to be a bit easy to damage. unless they are metal links or flexwire, even the super stretchy elastic string will break. :( it sucks! especially considering how cool they look on.

I absolutely love this necklace. The blue satin really sets off the delicate looking gold lace, and the beads and gold charms add a wonderful accent.

I have a couple of friends who would adore it, unfortunately they live in nz and postage on it would be somewhat scary and I don't have the money spare for it *Sniffles* there'll be others i'm sure.

and yanno . . I am discovering that the locations I dread discovering the postage fore are more often than not fairly reasonable! only problem lately is that you can't insure packages to certain areas of the world . . . . and that sucks!!

you're welcome :)

Yeah postage can be a bit of a scary thing, especially when prices in the US keep going up. I've honestly given up trying to keep track of how much it would cost to post a letter lol (not that i have anyone to snail mail write to, most people prefer email these days). But I can imagine that insuring packages would be a priority for you because the last thing you want is one of your creations being broken or wrecked while its making its way to its recipient :(

I do believe one recently was lost en route to Italy . . which burns my ass. if someone else inadvertantly got it fine . . I can live with that, and I will make another similar one to replace it and hope it gets where it needs to . . but the thought that it is lost or worse, in the garbage just really turns me into an incandescent flame . . . . . is that arrogant? ack . .. . Hehe--Jack and I watch it together, over the phone, actually--so I'm no better. It's just plain SILLY--but there's no bad language, only cartoon violence, and I like to hear Teal'c say "Daniel Jackson" and Jack likes to make up Goa'uld phrases (he thinks he's funny, the silly muffin! ;)), and it's a nice way to spend the evening together, when we're too tired to talk. Plus, unlike Firefly, there are 10 seasons of it. That's enough to last a LOT of phone calls! ;)

I missed most of the episodes, and haven't had time lately to indulge in the itunes versions . . . tv is my son and his father's realm nowadays. if I don't own it on dvd or vhs, I just don't get to watch it! lol. the few episodes I did get to see though were quite fun to watch . . and it is a bonus that the writers used the old platforms for telling a story rather than rely on foul language for it's own sake and really bad gore. ;)

and that is a very cool thing you two share, btw! I would never have thought of doing that. there are a few very cool things about this digital age, and I think that is one of them! :)

I don't own a tv--so the only stuff I ever see are things on DVD...either via Netflix, or DVDs I own. And I stumbled on Stargate, because a couple of years ago, after discovering the extraordinary coolness of Firefly, I raved about it at work to someone, who told me about the SF channel. (I'd never heard of it!) And she recommended some shows to me--I believe it was Farscape that she thought I'd like--only when I got to the store to buy a season to try out--I couldn't remember what it was called. And there was this SHELF full of Stargate--which kind of sounded like it...and the boxes were pretty...and HEY--there was MACGYVER on the front--so how bad could it be??!!!

AND it was on sale, half off, so I bought the first two seasons. And it was bad. AWFUL. Really appalling. It was like Xena in space, or something--every episode just another excuse for cool costumes. (I hit the roof when they had a "viking" planet--and the exiled woman was wearing VELVET. Um, yeah, the Viking's were known for their velvet, you know. And exiles--well, living on the fringe, I guess you have more time to make that velvet! :P)

But I'd bought it--and by golly, I was watching it. So I did. Two seasons. And a strange thing happened, after the cliffhanger at the end of the second season...I started thinking about buying a third season. And they were still on sale, so make that two more seasons...and it was in the third season that they hit their stride--and the show started getting more consistent, and having fewer dumb episodes...and the next thing you know, I was hooked.

The tough thing was convincing Jack to watch it with me--after he'd heard me moaning and groaning my way through the first two seasons--but I perservered, and he's a nice guy--and sure enough, the same thing happened with him. At the end of the second season...he started wanting the third...and that's where we are now. :) I like that they don't take themselves too seriously. :)

And yeah, we have fun watching things over the phone! :) We've been doing it for the last 6 years! :D We both put the movie on...and he puts the phone up to his tv, and turns the sound up, and I synch mine to his--and then we sit back with our headsets on, and watch something together. Usually movies--but we enjoyed watching Firefly together, and then Joan of Arcadia...and now Stargate. It's nice to have something that's only an hour long, since we try to go to bed by 10, and even if he calls late, we can usually still fit that in, if we're tired. :)

When I think of poor Robert and Elizabeth Browning, with THEIR long distance relationship--relying on letters--I feel so blessed, to be doing it in this day and age--with the phone, and email! :D

you know, I had the same Xena in space feel about it too. but I am bad . . I watched Xena pretty religiously when it was first aired. the last season just really annoyed me . . . . and that musical one?? oh heavens. how on earth can you run out of myths to play with?? seriously . . . *shakes head* most of the sci-fi shows they came out with after the Xena and Hercules ones ended were just excuses to play with fun costumes . . .the first few seasons of Stargate felt that way too. though, the corniness did have a certain appeal, lol.

that is so cool hun! see, I could never think of doing that . . . tv is not really my big thing (my migraines are easily triggered . . and tv seems to do it every time if I try big doses). I can only handle one movie a day . . . which annoys my son endlessly. lol. the digital age has definitely improved communication on many levels . . . & I know what you mean about it helping long distance relationships. I still love the written word, and getting letters and whatnot is so much fun . . but the internet tends to be a bit more reliable in the consistency department (very rarely are emails lost in transit!).

speaking of that sort of thing . . . I need your addy again hun! ;) I really want to get that mailed off to you soon, this weekend at the latest. pretty please??

 aww, thanks hun! Egypt has held deep fascination for me all of my life . . literally. when I should have been learning to better master my own language, I was busy learning heiroglyphics! really annoyed my kindergarten teacher. ;) and Nefrititi has always been a role model of sorts for me; so when my daughter suggested her name for this I didn't even fight.
