this is created especially as a gift for the lovely and talented and all-around wonderful
 she has had just as rough a time lately as me (physically and emotionally) and I thought she could use a little hand up in the happy department.  as  did for me, I now do for another. this is actually a tricky piece, as the lace is embroidered mesh. really difficult to work with in this format, but looks really lovely if you can pull it off. which I like to think I did!  art nouveau centerpiece, with a backing of purple venetian lace to set it off and give it a bit of ooomph. lots of iridescent purple seed beads, faceted czech glass pieces and 2 styles of drop beads. (the 2 other pics depict the purple accurately . . damn my skin tone anyway!!)I like the way it embraces the neck . . though it looks a bit crooked in this pic on me, it does sit straight (particularly when you're not trying to take a pic of yourself wearing it!!). she says she loves it, so off it goes hopefully today to brighten her world. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. that lace is such a trick to play with! I have more . .. just need a reason to finish playing with it. nearly gave me fits! that stuff is so hard to trim and to just . . ack! adding stuff to mesh is painful.
